Have You Been Offered Cheap SEO?

Effective SEO requires the use of project managers, technical SEO experts, content writers, outreach specialists, designers and web developers. If you’ve been offered cheap SEO, it’s likely to be ineffective at best, and harmful to your future ranking potential at worst.

Over my many years of experience, I’ve seen all sorts of shoddy SEO – the worst being cheap backlinks fired at a website, which sees rankings increase rapidly, but then a few months down the line, the website has been completely removed from the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) for core keyword terms. And the road to recovery is an incredibly difficult one, often more quickly solved by using an entirely different domain name. Not ideal, to say the least.

In short, you have to be careful with the SEO strategy that you employ for your website. An effective SEO campaign will cost more than a few Fiverr gigs, and require a lot more knowledge than a day course of basic SEO tips.

How Much Does Full Service SEO Cost?

Every website is different and I offer bespoke quotes for every project depending on website size and the search engine competition in your niche.

The minimum monthly investment on a medium-sized website in a mildly competitive niche is £640, with typical campaigns being £1,000+, any less and the SEO for your website will simply not be effective. However, some local SEO campaigns can be delivered for less depending on the location, and the lowest monthly commitment I can work with in this scenario is £320.

How long does it take to get results from SEO?

Results depend on the website itself and its technical debt, niche and competition. Google's official stance is 4-12 months. From my experience, low competition keywords take around 4-6 months, with more competitive keywords a bit longer. Every market niche is different. I always recommend to commit to a minimum of 6 months.

Do you have minimum contract terms / cancellation terms?

I don't lock anyone into any long contracts, but I do recommend a minimum of 6 months. From there, you'll see results and we can discuss the ROI. A high percentage of my clients stay on board. Contracts are rolling monthly, and you need to give just 30 days notice (as I plan ahead) if you wish to cancel.

Will you work with any business?

I like to work with businesses that are committed to SEO and are responsive, this will just help get better results from the campaign. Let's talk to see if we're a good fit.

I won't ever work with direct competitors, so for example, I won't work with 2 mortgage advisors competing in the same geographical area.

I won't work in certain niches, such as gambling, just because there are better people out there that can help you and a deep knowledge of the niche is required. But most niches, I'm good with.

Do you offer individual SEO services if I'm not ready to commit to a full campaign yet?

Yes - I offer audits, SEO consultation and link building services. I also offer penalty recovery services, though these often take a long time, so it ultimately depends on my availability.
